- Summary
- Tucker Mills, Massachusetts, 1839. In troubled times, independent, hardworking Reese Thackery resorts to indentured servitude for survival. When the man who owns her contract dies deeply in debt, she is handed over to the Tucker Mills Bank, owned by Conner Kingsley. Reese vows to serve her remaining two years with a willing heart, finding comfort in her faith and her friends
